Wyse Light closes a seed funding round to launch sales of its new instrument that measures reflective surfaces with nanometric precision.

Saint-Etienne, September 10, 2023 – Wyse Light, a French company specializing in high-precision optical metrology, announces today that it has raised €305K from private investors. This round allows the company to finance the industrialization of its prototype and its launch on the market.

Wyse Light has developed and patented an innovative deflectometry method, coaxial deflectometry, which allows reflective shape surfaces, including freeforms, to be measured with nanometric precision. This technology has several advantages over existing solutions such as interferometry, including lower cost, simpler implementation and better resistance to environmental conditions.

« We are very pleased to have the support of our investors to launch our business, » said Yves Surrel, founder and president of Wyse Light. « This round will allow us to take an important step in the development of our technology and meet the growing demand for high-precision optical metrology solutions. »

The company has already developed a working prototype. It plans to launch pre-orders for its measuring device as early as October 2023, with a « try and buy » option, and the first deliveries in the first quarter of 2024. It targets a global market of several tens of millions of euros, particularly in the sectors of Earth and space observation, microelectronics, health, automotive, and precision industry.
